Micah Perta is a film and commercial director based in New York.
“Genius motherf**ker.” - Tracy Morgan
Tracy Morgan might also add that Micah cut his teeth writing and directing for the infamous MTV promos department and has had the pleasure of directing Tracy for four campaigns in addition to everyone from Martha Stewart to Snoop Dogg, Colin Jost to Conan O’Brien, Don Cheadle to Kate McKinnon - just to name a few. No big deal.
Through his unique storytelling style, polish and comedic point of view, Micah has directed award-winning work for world-renowned brands. In addition to MTV, he’s worked alongside companies such as Hilton, Geico, Pepsi, Toyota, Hershey’s, E-trade and Heinz. Not only have his side projects been praised by the New York Times, his work has garnered millions of hits on YouTube, gone viral and been picked up by everything from TMZ to the local news in Vancouver.
His short film Daytime Noon starring Olivia Wilde premiered at the Nantucket Film Festival and Short of the Week.
Whatever the project, brand or medium, Micah brings both creativity and a thoughtful alchemy to his work – hopefully making you laugh, or at the very least say WTF.
